Because this is my personal weight loss story. The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work and finally the one thing that did help me achieve my goal of healthy weight loss, which I have kept off.
I’d been overweight since childhood and despite assurances from my parents that it was just “puppy fat”, it didn’t miraculously disappear on my sixteenth birthday! I’ve struggled with my weight ever since.
Being overweight really affected my life in so many ways. I was terribly self conciencous and lacking in confidence. As a result, I didn’t have much of a social life.

The thought of going to a night club filled me with dread!
Clothes shopping was a nightmare and no matter how much money I spent, I always ended up looking the same – fat and frumpy.
In the end, I was sick and tired of always feeling miserable about my weight and decided to do something about it.
I launched into an extreme diet regime which was so difficult to maintain that I only managed a few days, before I gave up.
Then I found another “wonder” diet that was going to solve all my problems and I tried that. Again, it was really difficult to follow and so boring! So, another failure was notched up and a few more consolation chocolate bars eaten.
And so started the process of years of yo yo dieting
which left me even more overweight, and thoroughly fed up.
I also started going to the gym but absolutely hated it. Spending an hour a day looking at myself in a full length mirror, puffing away on a treadmill was not my idea of a good time!
I thought I had found the answer when I spotted an advert for Chinese tea and diet pills. These apparently made you thin without you having to do anything much (perfect!) but the only thing that got smaller was my bank account!
Eventually, after years of trying endless ‘fad’ diets, I stumbled across a solution, The Diet Solution, to be precise and I couldn’t believe how well it worked. It was totally different to everything else I had tried.
The main focus was on a healthy diet plan, eating nutritional food, not starving yourself or filling your body with weird and wonderful potions.
It was really interesting to discover all the wrongs things I had been eating and all the great things I could eat. I didn’t realise that some fats are actually good for you – what a revelation!
Everything was explained very clearly and it was really easy to follow.

Following a Healthy Diet Plan
I must admit, it was a bit hard to adjust to this totally new way of thinking about food. Learning healthy eating habits etc but after a couple of weeks, the healthy diet plan fell into place and became a natural part of my every day routine.
I lost 6lb in the first week and then a steady 2lb – 3lb every week after that. That steady, healthy weight loss has meant it’s been easy for me to keep the weight off.
I can honestly say, this healthy diet plan has changed my life completely. I’m now really proud of my appearance and enjoy dressing well to show off my new figure. My confidence has soared and I now find myself trying all sorts of new things that I would never have tried before. I’ve finally danced the night away in a club and had a great time, although it’s not something I do every week!
My favorite new hobby is my yoga. It still amazes me the new positions I can get my body into! And it’s a great feeling to have this trim, strong body and be so full of energy.
